In The Press

Over the years I have been lucky enough to work on incredible projects and help bring to life the creative vision of some of the most talented stylists for magazine covers, music videos, and red carpet looks. Adding the jewelry to iconic looks worn by our favorite celebrities and artists never gets old, but it's even more fun knowing my customers can wear the same pieces as celebs like Beyonce, Lizzo, Meg the Stallion and Angelina Jolie.

NINA BERENATO

Angelina Jolie

When I received the request to make this lip cuff from celebrity stylist, Jason Bolden, I had no idea it was going on Angelina Jolie the next day. I woke up to an overwhelming amount of DMs and tags as this piece went completely viral and the red carpet moment wearing it was Angelina's first time in public for 10 years. This piece is truly special, as it can be molded directly to your chin to create a totally custom fit, and yes- I still have the one Angelina wore in the NB vault.

Beyonce

After previously working with Beyonce's team on her Super Bowl performance, when we got the call to make these face pieces it felt like an impossible job. Create 20 custom face pieces for a very hush hush project. The kicker, they needed to be ready in 24 hours. The entire team went under NDA and I got to work after having the gold material overnighted to my Texas studio. I shipped them out just in the nick of time and was blown away to see them in both the Lion King video and Black is King visual albums.

"We're not in LA or NYC but we are competing for the same jobs and working on the same celebrity projects, we're making space for Texas fashion designers. "

Megan Thee Stallion

I love working with Megan. Her team is always ready to go outside the box with her looks and it's an honor to have worked with her for so many projects. From her music video with Sensea to creating jewelry for her red carpet outfits, the most memorable project for me will always be doing the jewelry for her Sports Illustrated cover. As the first female rapper on the cover and only the second black woman, our whole team was cheering Megan on with that one.

Janet Jackson

As an 80s baby, there was no greater honor than being called in to work on Janet Jackson's Allure cover. The concept was all about Janet reclaiming her story and was titled "Janet: She's Still in Control". Coming out just a week before her documentary where she told her own story for the first time, it was a celebration of female strength and huge moment for me as a designer.

On the Red Carpet

  • Lainey Wilson

When the CMT's came to Austin for the first time, country superstar Laney Wilson came to me for her red carpet look. This outfit takes the cake with most NB pieces ever worn by a celebrity at once (13 pieces!)

  • Billy Porter

An icon and a legend! I was beyond honored to do Billy's jewelry for the Out Awards where he received his Lifetime Acheivement Award.

  • Lizzo

I originally created these glasses for Lizzo's Houston rodeo performance which was cancelled due to Covid. But she loved them so much she wore them in social media videos throughout quarantine and it was so fun to see something I made bring her joy during such a tough time.

  • Lily Allen

Lily Allen wore the Hunter's Ear Cuff in an editorial for a magazine shoot in NYC and loved it so much that she asked to keep it for the night. Little did I know she was headed to the Game of Thrones premiere because her brother plays Theon Grayjoy!

  • Elizabeth Olsen

When our jewelry makes the cover of a magazine it is always a huge deal so when I got word that Elizabeth Olsen would be wearing Nina Berenato rings on the cover of Elle, I was so excited. The second it came out I think I bought 10 copies.
